Justice, a Pit Bull with an extraordinary spirit, has endured hardships that would have broken many. Though he may not fit conventional standards of beauty, his resilience and courage are remarkable. Tragically, Justice suffered abuse early in life and was abandoned to die. Fortunately, the compassionate staff at the Shelbyville/Shelby County Animal Shelter rescued him, providing the medical care and love he needed to heal and thrive.
Justice faced immense challenges. He was discovered wandering the streets of Indiana with severe chemical burns, likely caused intentionally. Despite the severity of his injuries, the shelter staff never gave up on him. They carefully treated his wounds, applied bandages, and watched as his skin slowly healed.

With time, patience, and affection, Justice gradually recovered. His fur grew back, and he regained his strength and energy. Though he may never look the same, the shelter staff cherished him for who he is.
After a year of medical care and training, Justice was ready for a forever home. His inspiring story touched hearts around the world, and he soon found a loving family. Due to his special needs, the shelter limited adoption applications to within 100 miles to ensure he could continue receiving necessary care.

Justice’s new family became his biggest supporters, sharing updates on his progress through the shelter’s page. Despite his traumatic past, he learned to trust and love again.
Training Justice took dedication, but his trainer Lexi worked patiently with him for over a year. Her commitment paid off, and Justice now follows instructions with ease. He even developed a strong bond with her, and only has one training session left.

Today, Justice thrives in his new home. He loves showing affection, often rolling over for tummy rubs — a vulnerable gesture that reflects his trust in his humans. Through patience, care, and unwavering love, Justice has found the safety, happiness, and family he always deserved.
